About Last Knight

IMG_7137

The late Desmond FitzGerald has been mentioned here before more than once (Knight and Day, October 1st 2012 and Shanid A Boo, July 8th last). I am now happy to advise that my new book The Last Knight which celebrates Desmond’s many achievements has been published and is available from the Irish Georgian Society (see: http://www.igs.ie). Thanks to the generosity of a number of benefactors, all proceeds from the sale of this work go to benefit the IGS.

I must put this on my ever expanding Christmas list.

I know you passed the Transparency’s and CD’s I sent back to Eric Blatchford. Do you still, or may you still require them. If not I will get Eric to return them to me.

    • Dear John,
I returned all those images some time ago to Eric, so he has them. I think we are fine for the present: in fact, as I recall we have too many images for the intended book, but thank you once more for letting me see them and if I do need for any reason I will of course get back to you. Best wishes and thanks again.

  3. Excellent, looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.

    Dear Robert,

I really enjoyed your interview yesterday afternoon on Newstalk. You were excellent. 10 out of 10.

    Lots of love,

    Ally

Hello, I am a relatively recent subscriber to your blog and look forward to each and every post. I relish each and every post l I receive from ‘The Irish Aesthete’. I have just purchased your book ‘About Last Knight’ based simply on the quality of you blog and your work to highlight our lost and soon to be lost heritage. Congrats on the recent win.

    Keep up the great work.

    Best wishes,

    Luke

    • Thank you very much for your kind comments and enthusiasm. I hope you also enjoy my book on the Knight of Glin who did so much to help ensure the preservation of our vulnerable architectural heritage. And please keep reading: there is lots more to come…
